NY Steaks again with an intersting side..

I know it's steaks again but who doesn't love steaks. Here we go....

This is our sides. Jalapeño peppers cut on the ends. About an inch deep. If you get jalapeños with white streaks those are spicier than normal.

Then I put them on the cast iron with a little oil.

Then add some lemon and sea salt.

Grilled the steaks and some asparagus. Nothing fancy there just boring pics. Thanks for looking.

My stomach is burning a bit and my lips feel spicy but It was so good!!!!
 
We love steak. Question though, what's the purpose if cutting the ends of the peppers?

We cut the ends to allow oil to get inside the pepper when it's on the cast iron. my theory is oil will get on the seeds and make it taste better. and when we add lemon it will be get inside the pepper also....

That's interesting. I usually split them, but then you have to worry about losing them in the grill or seeds trying to become shrapnel. Thanks for the tip!
