Notes on the iPhone

Anyone else had their "Notes" wiped clean? I'm guessing it happened when I did the 17.2.1 update which I think was around mid December. I'm guessing it's to get you to use the iCloud which is the last thing I'll ever use
 
I use Notes, but also use iCloud. All intact here. Running 17.1.2 on my 14Pro. I'll update and let you know if anything changes.

Edit: Updated and no issues.

I know what you mean about the cloud, but they probably got our info anyway.

a couple months ago I was switching carriers and my number got ported to new carrier before my phone was released by the old carrier.
Nobody could unlock my phone in order to get setup with the new carrier. (Even the old carrier)
I actually had to get a new phone to get activated, and am so thankful I was fully backed up in the cloud. It could have been ugly.

Make sure you're phone is backed up to a non-Apple computer especially if prompted to update to 17.2+
I've never liked Apple and have been lazy about getting non-Apple phone, but this is going to be the last straw. What's possible reason is there for them to wipe your notes file? That really ticks me off
 
Apple doesn’t wipe notes on an update. They never have and never will. You had to do something or just a fluke.

I’ve been using Apple stuff solely since…..whenever iPhone came to Verizon. Occasionally folks have a fluke thing happen.

I’m running the latest software update and still have all notes intact.
