NG to LP

It's not "hard" but care MUST be taken, you NEED to know what gas pressure it will be on (not enough to say "household") as I have seen places like my friend's place in Woodbury MN where higher pressure gas in small lines is piped to each location and regulated down at each "appliance".
It CAN be but may NOT be as simple as an orifice swap. But unless you know what you're doing with gas either buy it and keep it LP or buy a proper NG grill with proper hookups

It’s currently NG and I want to change it to LP. Does that make a difference?

Sorry I misread. NG to LP is not hard. You need the correct LP hose/regulator assembly. Preferably a true LP manifold would be better as the valves on a NG are slightly different. But, the difference is pretty livable IF you know about it. Simply getting blank "spuds" to replace the NG orifices and then resizing them to the proper size is all that is necessary. This is a sizing chart https://andersonforrester.com/conversion-chart/ also here is a source for the orifices http://www.grill-repair.com/weber315orifice.html IMO they seem high priced so have never used them

I think you may want to check in with Dave in KC who is now doing conversions based on the well qualified procedures from LMichaels and a few others. If you don't want to go that route, try to find a LP manifold for your particular grill. then all you need to add is the regulator and hose to connect to your tank.

A propane tank scale would complete the conversion, but not 100% necessary.

here is a link to Convert BBQ from NG to LP ... https://tvwbb.com/showthread.php?77...ural-Gas-over-to-Propane-!!!&highlight=Kelvin

I ended up going with the Whole Manifold replacement, once you get the New LP manifold it only takes 15 minutes to install.

Note: don't take the Screws out that hold the Burners in place just loosen them out just enough to wiggle the burners out of the way so you can install the new manifold... i took them all the way out and i had a terrible time trying to get them back in.

Note: when you order the New LP Manifold it will usually come with the LP regulator. I just had to go to Costco to pick up a LP tank and then fill it up...also the Costco tanks comes PRE Purged. The gas attendant will probably ask you ...it's written on the TANK. you don't have to pay extra to purge the tank.
