New Year's Eve Plans?

What is everyone doing for NYE? Or did if you've already in tomorrow.

Start the new year right with a lovely kale and microgreens salad with a homemade vinaigrette?

I will be grilling some NY steaks and having some nice wine.

Staying inside where it's warm and dry. Steady rain up until ~2 PM and been snowing ever since. After a big breakfast we weren't hungry so just had a smoked turkey salad sandwich. Getting ready to have a beer and watch the rest of the Michigan/TCU game.

Wait, I don't understand....

Steaks turned out great, made some broiled asparagus and (instant) mashed potatoes.

Used the Vortex and did a dollop of maitre'd chive butter on top.

Happy New Year everyone! It's been raining and cold all day here, so I cooked inside too. I had a nice prime tri-tip in the freezer; cooked it sous-vide and seared it off in a carbon steel pan. I didn't get quite get the sear I would get outside over charcoal, but it was delicious.

Watched the Michigan/TCU game (great game), and now watching Georgia/Ohio State. Go Georgia! but Ohio State just scored again.

Some dungeoness crabs, clarified garlic butter and Chilean sea bass on the menu. A slow, grazing kind of dinner. And lobster bisque too.
