New WSM on its Way...

Hi All,

Been lurkin' and postin' on this site for quite some time and Mrs. D says to order a WSM! Such a lovely girl Mrs. D is...I am a lucky man!

Had pretty good luck over the past 2 years with my Brinkmann Electric smoker but am looking forward to kicking it up a notch with the enhanced flavor that charcoal and wood can give you.

Will be ordering through Amazon via this site to ensure Mr. Allingham gets the credit due. Chris has put together such a wonderful site and there is so much information and knowledge, he deserves tremendous praise. I extol the benefits of the WSM to all my friends based on this site and I didn't even own a WSM.

And all the folks that frequent this site from Mr. Jim Minion to Kevin Taylor (Stogie) to Tom in FL! Wow what great folks!

I'll let you know how it works out on delivery and the first cook goes...

Congratulations on the purchase, Preston! I believe you are going to find that it's even better than you imagine. I guess I just assumed that you already had a CS and a WSM. The WSM is the easiest charcoal smoker to control and turns out some very good barbecue. Best regards to Mrs. D, too - I'm sure she will not be disappointed with your new cookin' abilities! /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Hi there,
I hang out on the Cookshack forum too as well as this one. As I had a Brinkman Electric I got a lot of good help there and here on this site too even though it is not a Cookshack or WSM.

Improved my barbecuing enough over time to have folks tell me to go into business...they said it was the best they ever had. I figure with the WSM coming I can only improve on my ability...

I look back on what I use to think was pretty good barbecue and am pretty embarassed with that...thank God its only gotten better, but I still have tons of room for improvement. This site and the fine people who visit here can only help lend to that improvement!
