New pellet grill. Looks similar to the Searwood. It's not being marketed as Searing capable. I believe temps are 176-500. Heard the are some internal changes that sets it apart from the SW. $899 for the XL , $699 for the regular size.

Appeared on the Uk site earlier today, also on the US website https://www.weber.com/US/en/wood-pellet/weber-smoque/weber-smoque/1500770.html

Looks ok for the money

  • Fast Heat-Up: Reaches target temperatures in just 15 minutes.
  • Consistent Heat: Distributes heat evenly across the grates and recovers quickly after opening and closing the lid.
  • Enhanced Smoky Flavors: Activate the smoker’s SMOKEBOOST™ setting with a simple turn-and-press knob.
  • Ease of Use: A highly visible LCD controller provides real-time updates on smoker temperature, cook status, food probe readings, timers, connectivity, and more. Pair the WEBER SMOQUE with the WEBER CONNECT® App 2.0 to also access and control this information directly from any mobile device—anytime, anywhere.
  • Convenient Grease and Ash Management System for Less Stress and Mess: A custom-engineered, angled grease sheet directs drippings into a discreetly hidden, easy-to-access grease catch. Ash collection falls to the bottom of the cook box and is swept into the same grease catch, eliminating the need for a vacuum. Further, disposable, pre-cut foil liners, sold as a separate accessory, simplify cleanup while promoting airflow and smoke circulation.
  • Options to Elevate the Cooking Experience with WEBER WORKS system and WEBER CRAFTED collection: Specially designed WEBER WORKS accessories keep tongs, spatulas, and brushes within easy arm’s reach while also bringing seasonings, oils, and other essentials directly to the smoker, eliminating the need for trips back and forth to the kitchen. Compatibility with the WEBER CRAFTED collection opens additional menu options. Both accessory systems are sold separately.
Unique front-folding, side, and bottom shelves, also sold separately, provide extra prep space or storage, further optimizing grilling setup.

5 year warranty and comes with two probes! No mention of temperature ranges.
180-500 temp range. Rep @ Weber that I've made buddies with since my SF issues and eventual SW purchase, told me he grilled burgers and brats on it and it came out great. I think the intention is to go after some of the lower entry market smokers use. Pit boss and Traeger

Probably trying to get out ahead of the $399 Brisk It grill coming soon too. Their entire lineup is competitively priced and targets beginners.

I hate the name, but this Smoque seems to be a really good option. Geared for people who only want to smoke, it seems. The sub-$1000 market is getting very competitive. Great to have quality options that don't break the bank.

If the range is really up to 500, that is more than enough heat to do pretty much everything. I get nice browning and a great crust on steaks and such with both of my pits and honestly I don't even bother trying to run them up to 500. I max them out 400-450 tops. So if this Smoque can really hit those ranges and "quickly" and hold/recover well, IMO anything more is overkill. Only real advantage then for the Searwood IMO would be the ability to grill and griddle with "lid up". Otherwise anything more is just "bragging"

Apparently can't use the full size griddle either. However, you could use the Weber "Crafted" griddle insert.

Not sure griddling is suited to a pellet grill, with the Crafted griddle, get much better results on the Genesis. I have the Crafted griddle for my Smokefire and temperature drops too rapidly with the lid open producing very uneven cooking temps over the cooking surface for me.

Have the full sized Genesis Griddle also and seems to hold temps much better, maybe due to the fact it covers the whole of the grill rather than two thirds of it like the Crafted one?
