I got hooked earlier this year on smoking ribs when I bought a master forge lowes special for $60, haha. I've always been into grilling and my wife finally realized if she wants me to constantly make her delicious barbecue my utinsels need to be upgraded! Low and behold I have a 22.5" WSM and a Weber Performer touch n go on the way!! Lookin forward to the tips and what not I can gather fro
You guys! Thx!

Brandon, The amount of info on this site can be overwhelming. I would suggest go back to Chris's suggestions on this site. See how he does it. Try it and build on that. Gives you a good base line for starting. Welcome to the site and good smoking.

Brandon,

You lucky dog! Sounds like you found yourself a "keeper". (Just make sure to return the favor without question when HER turn rolls around...)

You'll get LOTS of good years of use and good eatin' with those new <STRIKE>toys</STRIKE> tools, and you've probably stumbled onto one of the best places on the web to learn how to use 'em!

Good luck and enjoy

Hi Brandon and welcome aboard.

You are going to be able to turn out some great food with those cookers.

Welcome aboard Brandon. I like Paul's advice to start with following Chris's advice on the main site. No matter where you start you'll learn and then learn more as you cook. Eventually you'll find what works for you and your bride's taste. I cook for my wife's taste and she never has a problem if I want to get a tool for my cooking.

Chris covers this but learn the Minion method for starting your charcoal and too much smoke wood is worse than not enough. Go easy on it at first and work up to the taste you folks like.

Have fun with it.

I'd say you better keep treating that lady well and you will with two of the best cookers you could buy.

This site is very addictive. Welcome.
