I picked this up today. Just as the ad said BRAND NEW IN BOX 1989 CHOCOLATE KETTLE
I haven't put it together yet but here's a couple of pics of my new family member

That's just out of bounds cool! I didn't know that the browns were still being made as late as '89. I wonder when they finally did discontinue that color! Nice score!

Nice kettle Joel! I love the chocolate. Where did you find it? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
I bought it on ebay for $120. It was a 2hr drive from where i live to pick-up but worth the drive
At $120 i don't know if it was a bargain but considering it was brand new in box and a new black OTS(which is all we get in Australia now)is $300 i couldn't resist .
Im sure glad i made the effort to pick her up

That's a great find and a beautiful color. Price is so hard to quantify since the number of NIB samples gets smaller every year. Old school is cool but it's nice to have something nice and shiny. You have it both ways!

There's a NIB 22 for sale near me of about the same vintage. I bought a never-fired-up 26 from the same people with an '85 date of manufacture. I fired it up because that's why I collect Webers, though I do admit to having a twinge when I did so. The lamb helped me get over that.

Do you plan to use this one or will it remain pristine in your collection?

I think i'll leave this one in the box. I've got 4 other 22 to use
Cheers
