Hi, everyone! Yet another Weber fan here. Our first experience with a Weber was at a camp we rented back in the 90's. I think it was a Genesis 1000. I was impressed, but couldn't afford one. Fast forward about 20 years to finding a Craigslist post for a free Weber gas grill. Hours later, I was the proud owner of a Silver Series A model. In the past couple of years, the list of roadside finds includes 2 more A's, a Spirit E-310 (side controls), and just this week a Silver Series B. The workhorse is a 2015 Spirit E-310 (front controls) that I picked up at a thrift store. Some ended up getting refurbished and given to family members, one ended up as a parts donor, and the Silver B is currently the subject of negotiations with my wife on just how many grills we need. (Technically, this makes 2 we own. Oh, wait, forgot about the brand new 22" charcoal kettle I asked for on Fathers Day) Here's a few pics of the first one that qualifies as a true "restoration." It now belongs to my son. Originally it had a black cover, but we swapped it out for the blue cover from one that wasn't in as good condition.
And repeat after me: this is not an addiction.

Welcome to the club Jim! This is coming from someone who currently has four Genesis 1000 grills in their garage and feels a certain amount of shame over it that I will definitely overcome. 😀

Welcome from across the border in Upstate NY. My very first Weber was a front control 2013 E-310 NG grill that I eventually converted to LP. It's still in use as the workhorse at our camp to this day. I like to tell everyone that this little hobby is not really a problem until you reach double digit grill numbers. Of course, I passed that threshold years ago and now keep a dozen or more on hand at all times awaiting rehab or resto.

Welcome from the Motor City! I just started climbing down the rabbit hole myself with a later Silver A. Watching a couple older green ones to swap hoods too!
