Hi All,
I stumbled across this group whilst searching for info relevant to my Weber BBQ (a Summit Platinum D4 that I purchased way back in 2007. It’s still running fine and has been a great unit, imho.)
When I purchased it it came with a cast iron hot plate (perhaps called a ‘griddle’ in the States?).
I’ve rarely used it because it’s quite heavy and I think I never actually seasoned it correctly (my bad, I know!).
I was wondering if there may have been a stainless steel alternative. I’d expect it’d need to be of sufficient thickness and same other dimensions. I just think it’d be a better alternative, easier to use and clean, &c.
Has anyone perhaps had experience in this regard? Or sourced something like this?
Any comments/observations would be appreciated.
I’m separately looking to replace the original Flavouriser Bars. I believe Weber can source/supply same (although they seem to be out of stock here in Australia, at the moment).
Cheers
Martin
