Has anyone noticed the color of the ash after it completely dies out. Did two cooks on my 22 1/2 Weber and when I cleaned out the ash yesterday it was a sulfur yellow.
By the way would never use K for smoking - only grilling and to startup my lump.
I have not seen the yellow ash either. But i have seen more ash, maybe it is because I have to use more fuel. I did a 24 hour butt cook and had to finish in the oven because the charcoal chamber was so full of ash I could not keep coals going.
