New guy from PA

Hello,

I just wanted to introduce myself. After several years of cooking on a two sided combination gas and charcoal grill, and wearing it out totally, I decided I needed to update my equipment. At the urging of a buddy I bought a OTG and a Genesis E-310 on Saturday. I've already used the OTG a couple of times but the Genesis won't be delivered until next weekend. :-(

In the meantime I'll peruse the message board for tips and tricks and recipes and hopefully I'll be able to add something to the discussions going forward. I look forward to reading and gleaning tips and tricks from folks with a lot more time and experience though I'm not bashful and I try to get outside and cook a couple times a week all year long.

Regards,

Folks I’m the “buddy” Tim spoke about. You won’t find a nicer, unselfish or more helpful guy anywhere. One additional plus is he likes beer! :)
Welcome Tim!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome aboard Tim! Any friend of Rolf's is a friend of ours! Besides learning new things on
this board, Rolf can teach you a trick or two about cooking!!

Welcome to the site, Tim. I have a gasser myself but I have to say it sees almost no action nowadays. The kettles and WSM see almost all of it. It's still good to have in reserve, though. This is a great ite with great, helpful member.

Dear Board,

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I figure I'm still going to use the gas grill, especially in the Winter. I'm only cooking for two of us and during the week it's so much quicker to fire up the gasser and cook a couple of hotdogs and hamburgers or maybe a pork chop or two. The OTG will probably get the most usage, but it will see more of it's action on the weekends when I have more time to devote to cooking. Either way I'll be outside cooking where I'd rather be.

Regards,

P.S. Watch that guy Rolf, he has a way of convincing people they really need a lot of extra accessories and things. Actually I see myself getting a Cajun rotisserie on Rolf's recommendation but that will be down the road a bit.

Tim Murphy :-)
