New cabinet


 
I'm curious. What is the advantage of having the WSM inside of the cabinet? AND what is the electronic gadget named Rock's Barbecue that is shown in the last picture? What does it do?

The cabinet provides insulation and wind protection in addition to general storage. This one is exceptionally well done.

Rock's bbq manufactures and sells the Stoker. The Stoker is one of a few automatic temperature controllers (ATCs, control pit temperature, some also have food probes in addition to a pit probe) on the market. Easier to watch a video than explain how these work. This is a video of the BBQ Guru which is a lower priced, fewer featured ATC compared to Stoker, but this is the best video to demonstrate the use of an ATC. Stokers and Cyber Qs can be controlled remotely and have wi-fi capabilities in addition to other features.

The biggest thing is being able to cook in any weather,snow,sleet wind and rain the box delivers like the mailman. Great place to store it,keeps it clean and dry and cuts charcoal use almost in half. As for the Stoker, do you need it? no but it's nice to set it and forget it on overnight cooks
