Has anyone used this product, and if so, what's the verdict? I've seen virtually nothing posted about it other than a short clip on the Smoke Ring by one person.
The website is Naturesgrillingproducts.com and the product I am referring to specifically is their 100% hardwood briquette. The product is sold in Central Florida at Winn Dixie, who periodically runs a buy one get one free promo on it. The bags are 9 lbs and sell for $5 each or 2 for $5 when on sale. I picked up 4 bags a few weeks ago. I don't have enough experience with the wsm so offer a good opinion, but they worked well for a 6 hour burn. In fact, I only used 6 lbs of fuel and had briquettes left over.
Here is a quote from their website: Nature’s Grilling™ 100% Natural Hardwood Briquets and Hardwood Blend Charcoal impart an authentic hardwood flavor to grilled foods, creating an extraordinary natural grilling experience. Results from an independent study show that Nature’s Hardwood Briquets burn 37% longer and 10%-30% hotter over the duration of burning time than traditional Briquets. Additionally, Nature’s Grilling hardwood briquets produce 35% less ash than the leading conventional brands, resulting in easier clean-up and less waste.
thought i'd check with you folks on this product, hoping others have tried and can offer a better perspective.
