First of all, huge thanks to Jeff Boudman for the new bowl! Sorry it took so long to get it installed!
Last spring, I got a DM from TVWBB member Jeff asking if I could use a new bowl for a 22” kettle. Not sure how he new mine was getting burned out, but thank you sir!
I forgot to get pics of the disassembly, but I got one of the back after the fact.

I wound up having to cut off the back 2 sockets to get the legs off.
I got a new cleaning system too, using the link on this fine forum. Ain’t it purdy!

And the first cook was some skill taters, pork chop and grilled veggies. Gus for Pammi and broccoli for me.

No plated pics, but very tasty!

Nice work, Phil. Do you bank your coals to that side where all the damage was? I do and have spider webs in the porcelain of my Performer. Only a matter of time before it fails, I'm sure.

Yes, that’s exactly where I banked the coals!
I got 15 years out of a grill that I never covered, so I think I did good!

Yep, I got about 12 years out of my bowl when I banked my coals to the side. With my new one, I now have a SnS so hoping that will help make it last longer. Either way, that is still a long time to get out of a relatively cheap grill that performs this well.
