New 22.5 owner!

Hey everyone! I have made the big jump to a 22.5 WSM and can't wait for it to show up. I'm sure it has already been posted on here but I just can't find it. But how do I go about seasoning my WSM for the first time? I have an offset smoker already and seasoned that and I assume it is a similar process. Just looking for info from you guys/gals on the best why to go about it. Thanks and happy BBQin!

No need to season it. Just a waste of fuel IMO. FIre it up and smoke right from the first fire.
 
First, welcome to the forum. As for seasoning your WSM, just set it up, wipe down the inside, and then smoke something like chicken. Over time it will be seasoned perfectly. Why waste the fuel. And by the way, whenever you can, wait to by KBB when HD and Lowes have the big sales. Half price is much easier to swallow. Next sale should be Labor Day. Congrats on that WSM.
 
Sounds good! Wasn't sure if I needed to burn off the oils and whatever else inside the WSM like most offsets require.
