Kelly, I really doubt that JB Weld would hold up in that application. Welding would be tricky because you need good clean bare metal on both sides to get a good weld. It probably wouldn't look to good after a weld, but you could do it. Since it is on the bottom, you could slap some high heat paint on it and it wouldn't show.
