need some info

Being from a colder climate I have found that you run though a lot more fuel when cooking in negative temperatures. I cooked a turkey for thanksgiving one year at -20F. I was hard to keep temps up and I was shocked at how much charcoal I used. comes with winter smoking i think. But you may have gotten a bad batch?

I am in a warmer climate (Florida) and have had no issues using kingsford blue on my wsm or otg. I've been running around 275 for about 7 hrs on a 14lb bag as I type this and have a pretty good amount of charcoal left.

Pretty much if I have any issues with a certain brand of charcoal, I'll switch to something different and try that for awhile.:wsm:
