Hello all.....hope you guys are all doing well. Its slim pickin's this time of year but I resto grills year round. I just picked a Silver B in real nice shape and I have it all cleaned up and ready to send down the road for a quick flip. The prep tables are blotchy and my usual tricks arent working to get them looking great again. I have tried Magic Erasers.....steel wool.....sand paper....and lots of 303 Aerospace but they still dont look so good. What tricks am I missing here? Thanks!!!!

Have you already tried the bleach trick? I add some dish detergent to it myself, I think it cleans better and helps the bleach solution "stick" to the plastic better while soaking it in.

I will try bleach and dawn tomorrow.....good point that should pull out some of the stains forcefully......gotta go deep and bleach is the only product to go deep.

I recover 95% of my Thermoset tables. First off is a round with the pressure washer. Then straight bleach or diluted up to 50%. I use a green scrubby with the bleach. This takes care of 80% of them. If not, sand paper with an orbital sander will get virtually all the rest looking good again. Start with 60 grit and work up to about 200. Aerospace 303 is not a cleaner really. It just remoisturizes the old sun dried tables. It may take 3-4 applications of the aerospace 303. Looking at the photo of your grill, I would be confident that it would come out fine.

On the bleach. Wet the green scrubby and then lightly wet the entire thermoset table. Keep it wet for 5 minutes or so before actually scrubbing on badly stained ones. Also, use undiluted bleach for bad ones. And using some Dawn, as Steve suggests, is probably a good idea as well.

Cool. Ya these tables are like restoring the headlights on your car. Basically removing the top layer of material. I gave them a pretty good sanding already but Mr Bleach is coming to town tomorrow and he aint happy! Thanks for the tips guys!

I did the bleach and Dawn cleaning and then used Kylon Plastic paint which worked good and is a easy clean up, then I saw a fellow on FB use this contact back splash paper it was cheap ,like me and so I bought a roll and installed it works very well so far have a few cooks on it in warm, hot, and cold temps ,makes clean up a snap.
