Need Front Panel for a Gen 2000-5000

Well, I bought it. And I'm glad I did, thanks @Steve Hoch for finding it and pointing me in the right direction. Seller took $40 cash, and I broke it down, packed my SUV and was out of there in 15 minutes. I've never really bought a Genny just to part it out, but now I am glad I did. I never really looked at grills on FB or CL except from the point of view as to whether it could be a worthy next project (I have 3 in the queue). I never looked at grills as "wow that's cheap for all those parts." So, it's been an interesting morning and I thought I'd share the results.

Check this out:

The unicorn front panel: Very little rust
A perfectly functioning 7810 side burner
Two 8" wheels (dirty but no broken letters on the whitewalls)
A full boatload of thermowood
Drip tray in very good shape
Dashboard panel looks great no fade
An undented greenie lid
Straight (no bowing) cookbox
A nice rib rack
Cast iron smoker box
FOUR Propane tanks (Two are full)
Valves functioning well (I need two for my new JR project)

Generally it's a rust bucket, the two bottom rails fell off as I was rolling it to my SUV lol. Top frame rusted badly in all the usual spots. The casters look like some rodents chewed away on them for years. Drip pan holder pretty far gone, grates and tubes gone, FV bars are SS and in good shape. Ironically, both igniters fired up the only functioning burner tube and the side burner in one or two clicks.

So it was definitely worth 40!!!

Yep, one part of that is worth the $40. But it almost sounds like you should look for a donor frame and move the rest of your grill over to the donor frame..

I agree. I’m typically not a Durawood guy, but that green and grey with the big square top is amazing. I’m already drooling over how it would look when done.

Fantastic deal. Hell, the tanks alone are worth more than you paid. The propane too. And of course the front panel part.

If you're going to be parting out, doesn't matter if it's a rust bucket.
