Welcome, William! Depending on the size of the hole, a bolt/washer/nut combo might do it. I think they make a high-heat JB Weld, too, but I don't know what's in it, so would recommend researching that before cooking over it.
The alternative, unless you have a sentimental attachment to this kettle, is to keep an eye out for a freebie on CL. I see many where the bowl is fine, but the lid/grates are toast. Since you're just looking for a bowl, you may be able to score something suitable pretty easily.
