My lid is very stiff!!

Hi all, My new smokefire's lid is very stiff and hard to lift up. This also causes the lid not to seal so well when lowered
on to the barrel. Any advice would be most welcome!

Yes I did, just 2x nuts to loosen, feel stupid asking tbh!!
