My first smashburgers

Here’s my first attempt at smash burgers, onions n mushrooms, with some of that Vermont Cheddar and Havarti.
Oh, and fresh seahorses…..;)

The cold temps made it hard to control the griddle, but they came out awesome.

While they weren‘t exactly smashburgers, they were definitely some of the best little burgers we‘ve ever had. Grilled the buns in a bit of the burger grease. Fantastic.

place parchment paper between the bottom of your spat and the top of your burger when pressing for an even press and one without spat lines in it. this way you can get a good downforce and a flat burger and your burger won't ooze through your spat.

looking really good! the crisp of a burger on a flat top tastes so good. but i am curious how the seahorses taste too.
