My Choice of Mods for My 22 WSM, Thanks to This Forum and You Good People

Steph,
I was nervous about drilling into mine for the lamp rod mod. I found step drill bits at Harbor Freight ($7-$8). Worked like a charm. I applied Blue painters tape, marked, used a center punch, drilled a pilot hole then used the step bit to go to 1/2". Whole thing took less than 5 minutes to install.

Good Luck.

Thanks Tony....Are the lamp rods galvanized steel? Also, I'm wondering if there is a link that has a really good illustration? If not, I should be able to figure it out. Also, how many probes can you get through the lamp rod (ball park)? BTW I really appreciate the feedback. I've never considered myself all that handy so much obliged to all.
