Jim,
Please accept my sincere condolances on the passing of your father. We are better people, country, and world as a direct result of the sacrifices and hardship he and his generation endured, present circumstances notwithstanding. He survived the Depression and WWII and probably wouldn't have traded a minute of it. While I never knew him, I'm certain he was a man of integrity and conviction. My belated thanks to him for his service to our country in the worlds darkest hours. My prayers are with you and your family.

Too, I had the opportunity, in the late '70's , of working closely with many veterans of Viet Nam as a civilian employee at West Point. I must say that, to a man, the one's I met were cut from the same cloth as their fore-fathers, the vets of WWII. They performed their duties when their county called, often under the most horrific conditions. And I say to you what I said to them: Thank you.

Jim Minion --

Please add my condolensces on the loss of your father to those you have already received. It is a sorrowful experience that you are going through right now. I do understand. However, you can take some measure of comfort in remembering all that he
meant to you and all he taught you. You wouldn't be the man you are today if it weren't for the lessons he taught you.

I lost my "Dad" some six years ago, and while he was my step-father, he was "Dad" in every sense of the word. I remember him for being the man he was and for being my father and supplying me with all of those life's lessons.

So, take comfort in knowing that he lived so that you could live as you do.

Jim,

Please, let me add my condolances on the passing of your Father... I hope that you will know that there are a lot of us that have been through what you are going through today... My Dad passed away 8 years ago this December, and I can tell you that life does go on, but you will always miss him... Unlike your Dad that had a cruel disease, my Dad passed away one Sunday evening from a heart attack while sitting in church... There is no easy or better time or way, they all hurt the same...
I will be thinking about you and praying for you in the days to come that you will find some comfort from friends and loved ones...

Sespe Pete & Gary,
Thank you for kind words, it is unbelievable how many really good people I have in life.
I'm leaving for IN in the next couple hours.
My brother and his wife are going along (motorhome), plane flights still a problem.
Everyone be safe and will talk again soon.
God Bless
Jim
