MONSTER FLAT!


 
Tonight im putting the WSM to the test! I have a 10.49 lb flat and two butts weighing in at about 19 lbs. The outside temp is supposed to get down to about 2-5 degrees above zero! Should be interesting!!!

No pun intended Tim but, "holy cow that's a good sized chunck - O - beef". Can't wait to hear/see how it went, good luck with the weather.
 
Rick, is that a wsm or santa's little helper?

The cook got moved to the morning. Started about 7:15am with lump and lots of cherry and apple. Temps still only at 10 degrees. Pulled everything at 8:00 pm and all is good to go! The WSM fears no cold weather!!! Everything turned out great, but no pics guys ( wife loaned camera to sister-in-law

!!! ) the flat I had to put on the top grate to fit and it barely fit! Had to do a little nip and tuckin! I usually compete with 7-8lb flats but this one turned out so good I might just keep it in mind? btw- got it at sams!

Cook still going 4 big butts at 167 internal right now. I have 3 packers to do tonight. This WSM is gonna need a rest after 48hrs of cooking.

O and buy the way there was a plate of burt ends and a cold beer on the front porch this morning. I think my WSM left it out for santa. LOL
