Let me start off by saying I love My WSM. That being said five years ago my son gave me an electric oil less Tuckey fryer for Christmas. I have been using that ever since for my turkey. Only time of year I pull it out. First I brined the turkey then rinsed off and dried. Injected and made a garlic butter paste for under the skin and on the skin, poured the remainder of the injection and added rub.
with the turkey fryer it only took 1 hour and 50 minutes for an 11 # bird. It was the juiciest and tastiest bird I have done. many compliments from my guesr. Like I said I love my WSM and will use it for everything else.

Me too. The Big Easy by Charbroil?
I used that Sunday for our postponed TDay.
10 mins a #. Ran like a champ even with the snow and cold temps.

Steve-G - it looks like the Big Easy is propane, though they appear to hide the fact on the website.

Can you get a 20# in it, or is it really limited to to 16?

edit: Ah, I see Cecil mentioned theirs was electric.

I have the old Smoker, Roaster, Grill version of the Big Easy that could handle a 25# bird. I'm not sure if they still make this one.
