Modified Heatermeter Board(Cat5 jack)

Yesterday, I received my 3 boards back from OSH that I changed in Eagle Cad to connect the extra cat5 connections for use of a Auxiliary TC and probe board.

I made the following connection
Pin1 to Meat probe 1
Pin2 to Meat probe 2
Pin7 to a through-hole pad, next to the Cat5 jack
Pin8 to GND

On pin7, I could have also made a connection to the 100k resister, But that would keep me from using the onboard thermocouple jack, so I just added a solder pad. This way I can add a switch to change the from using the onboard or Aux TC board.

This HM works great with 2 probes and a thermocouple on a Auxiliary board on the cat5 cable, with only the one wire shown connected to the 100K resister.

If anybody wanted to have the above connections, here is a link to the boards on OSH. Although, you would have to order 3 of them.

Nice...
I'd be interested to see a comparison of noise graphs using the same probes etc on this board vs the stock HMv4.2 board... If the noise level is similar this is a no brainer...
When you ran the traces to the food probes did you connect them to the switched leg or the main output? On the switched leg would be the way to go IMHO...
