Your times and results are right on w/ what I have been doing. If fact, I schedule out my meals for a 19 hr smoke. Pics look good also. Keep up the good work and keep 'em smokin'!!!
Why does it seem that the butt takes longer than the picnic? I have done a few 11# picnics, and the one took 23 hours. Other than that, they are all done in 2 hours/pound, maybe one hour longer. I do Picnics 95% of the time. I have seen some post that a 6 pounder took 18 hours? I keep the temps around 230 at the grate.
