Just a low key cookout at home with my wife 2 sons and one daughter in law.
Brined a bunch a wings in basic brine.....

Dusted a few with A1 rub.....
fired up the smoky joe for that batch....

Fired up the gasser for the rest...they cooked up pretty quick...

Wings look great!! Nicely done. How is the A1 rub?

its good. If you use it , don't salt the meat. The A-1's got plenty salt.but it's got lots of pepper and some heat. Nice hint of citrus , too. My kids liked it.

So you cooked the wings direct the entire time? How often did you flip them? How long, in all, did they take to cook? I like how you were able to do that without burning them. Very well done.

yeah , I kind of hung out by the smoky joe and flipped them every 2or3 minutes....they prob'ly took , maybe,20 minutes?
i had a big OJ And capt. Morgan's going , so I was just in the zone , you know?
