It's good for low temp cooks because it's an internal and ambient thermometer. I have found that it thinks it's in 500+ degree ambient thus sending all kinds of signals of eminent damage. Sadly, other ambient thermometers recorded the ambient < 500 degrees. In short, it's a very accurate internal thermometer for ambient temps no > 400ish ambient. The other downside is it doesn't range well and will disconnect from your phone is a very short distanceI'm just now hearing about this temp probe. Is it everything it's cracked up to be?
I agree completely, but it's the only wireless thermometer on the market today (that I know of). It's good for low temp cooks because it's an internal and ambient thermometer.
