A Longview man has been arrested for aggravated assault after a series of confrontations that ended with him being struck with a barbecue pit.
Longview police arrested Tyrone Douglas Floyd, 49, about 3:39 a.m. Thursday at Johnson Street Apartments, in the 400 block of Johnson Street.
Police say Floyd was arguing with an unidentified woman when a second person attempted to intervene. Floyd then went to that person's apartment and got into an altercation with them. A third person attempted to intervene and Floyd allegedly attempted to cut them with a knife. The person then struck him with a barbecue pit.
