Has anyone ever cured and cooked their own ham?
I love ham from the deli. I hate all the additives with the cheap stuff but hate to spend $8 per pound and the good stuff.
Is this easy enough to do? It seems to me it would require a colder but am not sure. I am really curious if anyone has had any success curing and smoking either a picnic ham, shoulder or other. I would be so nice to something on the cheap but without all the stuff added in.
