maiden voyage on OTG- Reverse Sear NY Strip


 
I did my first cook ever on my new One Touch Gold and also started the coals with my new rapidfire starter. I used a full chimney of stubbs all on one side of the grill. I seasoned the steaks with salt and pepper right before the cook and then placed them off the heat for 14 minutes turning once. Then I placed them on the heat for 4 mins each side. I also cooked a smaller steak for her which too 10 minutes off heat and 2 mins on heat turning half way through. My fiance made collards and au gratin potatoes to go with the meat. Steak turned out great, used my probe therm to tell when done.
