Mac & cheese too thick


 
I'd cut the cream to 1/2 cup and substitute 1/2 C milk (or less to start and add slowly to get the consistency you want).

The cream really thickens it up a lot.

Alfredo recipe I have calls for cream. I used 10%. On the thin side. Switched to 35% (whipping crm). Nice and thick now.

Just reduce the cream/increase the milk.
