Lump mesquite

just because it says mesquite lump, doesnt mean you'll get mesquite taste .. all I have been useing was ML and never had what I have smoke or grilled taste like mesquite, no matter what the price .. now the charcoal bricketts if you notice have actual wood chips embedded in it like the hickory brand and thus you get the flavor you selected

It depends on how thoroughly carbonized it is which is something that will vary by brand. If the flavor isn't strong enough it's easy enough to buy mesquite wood chunks and throw in a little...

I agree .. seems the wood is well done charcoaled mesquite wood like any other lump but if you want mesquite flavor, than like the brickets that have flakes of wood in it to give the flavor, dont expect mesquite smoke flavor from the lump ..being here in Texas I have sample high to low priced and there is no flavor ...
