Does anyone have any good sauce? Or perhaps, better yet... a great rub, perhaps with a bit of spice to it that is good on ribs that you don't sauce....
I started a low carb diet and definitely am not giving up my q...
Thanks for any tips/suggestions... I plan to cook up a few racks of baby backs tomorrow for dinner... :-)
Unfortunately... I got a pantry full of baby rays sauces...

If you have a rub or sauce recipe that you like, substitute any of the sugar in it with Splenda. Splenda also makes a Brown Sugar substitute. Also, once you are out of the initial phase and are allowed some carbs, there are lo-carb BBQ sauces out there such as Smokin' Joe Jones, Walden Farms, Jack Stack, Nature's Hollow to name a few. No need to lose the Q!

Walden's farm sauces are crap. they taste like some sort of chemical experiment. i make the No.5 sauce and use the Heinz no sugar added ketchup and brown sugar blend splenda. just make sure to look at the back of the package for the brown sugar equivalent as it is much sweeter than regular brown sugar. i also use less than the no 5 recipe calls for as there is real sugar in the brown sugar splenda. for rub i make my own sugar free rubs or us Bad Byron's Butt Rub as it is sugar free.

Stubbs bbq sauce is definately not a sweet sauce, but my family really likes it. Head Country is a little sweeter, but not nearly as sweet as most sauces.

Unfortunately Stubbs is made with both Corn Syrup and High Fructose Corn Syrup.

I am doing low carb as well due to being a type 2 diabetic. I have found sauces like Dinosaur Sauce (7g carbs/serving) to be quite good.
