Well, Today i was starting my Rehab on my !000 when the lid blew off the table, hit the ground and chipped it.. Im beyond pissed right now... Anyway, i know its a larger item and shipping would be a pain, but i figured id throw it out there.. I don't want black or Green ( have that already).. I have 24 pieces of durawood id throw in also, and some other parts laying around if anyone is interested..

Im am looking locally also, but nothing at the moment.. Any help would be great. My day is ruined. Sick to my stomach

I have a redhead liner. I don't have a handle or endcaps for it; just the liner. But it would be expensive to ship. I know that because I just paid $200 for a blue liner, half of which went for shipping (from Wisconsin to Washington). If you're in the northwest and up for a road trip, you can have it for free. If you're willing to pay for shipping, we can talk.

I know that feeling, passed pissed, bordering on furious. Sorry, I sold my redhead a couple of years ago.
You’ll find one, be patient.
Ugg, its one of those "i Cant Believe that just happened" in shock.. Ruined a perfectly good hood.. Ive got a message out to someone local that has a black Mica grill for 30 bucks.. I like that color too, ill use that till i find a red lid

I kinda figured shipping would be up there. All i need is the lid, no caps or handle.. Ill keep you in mind Roy. Im guessing about $100 to ship it? to Massachusetts

If it was $100 from Wisconsin to Washington, you'd better figure more to go all the way to Massachusetts. Too bad you're so far away. My guess is something will come along closer to home. Around here, I see the redheads frequently.

Im getting a few leads around here already.. I might have 1 for nothing from a guy i know who sells grils on the side.. He said he thinks has a parts grill with a red lid that he will give me.. Fingers crossed

Yah, finding one local is always the preferred option. Red is fairly common, unlike Blue so you should be able to find one in due time. I have trashed more than one lid due to stupidity over the last several years while doing my rehabs. Dropping them, having one blow over from the wind while standing on it's side, having someone knock one over or probably one of the worst was that after cleaning up the whole outside and then the entire inside, I found that there had been a nail or screw or just random piece of metal on my work stand that scratched the outside of the lid very badly while laying it down and working on the inside.

Jeez, i see you have had a few get messed up, Bruce, Its a shame when that happens.. These things obviously aren't made anymore and it kills me when something like this happens..Its such a waste of a good hood.. Ruined my whole day.

Yah, and a couple years ago, I got in hurry at a guys home where I was picking up a Genesis Platinum with a green lid. The ones with pin stripes and all. I got it loaded but the guy insisted on helping and kept messing with how I wanted to strap it down. He was getting me all stressed out so once I got it in, I just tightened the straps and got in and left. When I got home, I realized that the ratchet for the tie down was up against the bottom lip of the lid and had chipped it really bad. It probably upset me more that I didn't take the time to look over the straps and adjust them than the chip itself did. But, for some reason that guy just made me really uneasy.

Dibs if he doesn’t take it? I’m right down the road from you in Ballston Spa and would love another Redhead for my arsenal.

I actually might. I’ve got a black lid NG model that I probably won’t ever restore. If the hardware is there, you’re welcome to it. I’ll check tomorrow and let you know.
