Lilac wood, anyone?

I cut a big lilac tree down this spring and wonder how the wood will do in the smoker? I did a quick search and see that others have asked this question, but no definitive answers yet.

It is an interesting wood. Not for everything nor everyone. Try a little on dark poultry (like game hens), full-flavored marinated pork tenderloins, skewered lamb chunks.

Any thoughts on how it might go with salmon?

Hmm. It's not one I would think of for salmon. Could work fine though.
