lid paint

I have used my new WSM about 5 times; I have noticed that the piant around the bottom of the lid is bcoming discolored, almost a brown color. I assume this is from some of the smoke that escapes where the lid and main body meet. Is this a normal or did I get a bad "paint job" from the factory? I always thought the outside of weber products was baked on enamel..

Just caused by smoke, not to worry. All of my WSM's are discolored to some extent because I don't clean the outside very much. Maybe before a contest will hit with some soap and water a little to get a few layers off but that is it. It is a smoker, it should look like it has been smoking.
