I have a 4 by 4 pc of ply wood that I always break out when cooking. One side is grease rings the other clean! Plenty of room for all sections and grates.
Or the handy 24x36 inch metal oil drip pan. Maybe $15 bucks from the auto parts store.
Will hold the whole cooker off your deck. And will hold a hot chimney. And will hold a hot lid. And will hold a hot barrel (if doing the hot squat).
