Driving my son home from karate last night and what do a I find but a 1997 platinum with a free sign on it.

She needs some cleaning and some paint but otherwise she is solid with newer tubes, grills and flavour bars.

Nice! I really like the Platinum series grills. Is it natural gas or just missing the tank panel and scale?

It has a propane regulator hanging off the manifold, maybe an NG grill that someone just "switched " to LP?

According to the serial numbers it is a propane and it has a propane regulator.

It is missing the scale for the propane tank but I have a spare from a donor grill

Figured I would post on how the rehab of the 1997 I found by the road is going

Poor thing hadn’t been cleaned in years…but with a little degreaser and a few razors we are getting down to original enamel and steel

Now I need to get the paint off the steel and repaint
