Just got this kettle off Craigslist. Question is: What's the color? It's not the old two-toned brown. Or the current copper. Looks kind of bronzy. Anybody know?

I'll check the date code when I get it home and let you know how old it is. My guess is mid 90's.

Definitely a good deal. It looks new. The grates are still shining. That might be the same color as the SJ's from Linens and Things a few years ago.

DANG you guys with these great CL and yard sale finds are p*ssing me off!!

(Congrats on the find - and the color is unique and awesome!)

I hearya Pat.... nothing AND I mean NOTHING like that is available here in southeastern Wisconsin and the nice ones for sale are priced OUT OF THIS WORLD! UN-believable!

It's an "N" stamp. That makes it 1991. A little earlier than I thought.

It looks kind of close to this gasser color that someone posted as "copper":

If so, that's a very different copper than the current European color.
