She says that's the only issue with it, rusted just enough to keep falling out. They rebuilt everything else 10 years ago. I figure I'll play around and see if I can fab up a solution

Could be the supports and not the actual tray.

I picked one up where the support broke so they put a screw thru the pan and then thru the cookbox to hold it up...

I think the front to back fit is a problem too, but if you come up with something it would be nice.

If you can accept the bottom grease pan being off center, the pan for a 2011 to 2016 front control natural gas E330 fits. The LP version does as well, but with an extra heat shield. https://tvwbb.com/threads/genesis-x000-slide-out-pan-alternative.95832/#post-1135500

Pricey new but a good salvage candidate. Good luck!

Pretty sure thats a Genesis 1000 but as far as year not sure. Is the serial number legible? It would be on the side of the control panel or underneath

Not sure, I didn't ask and haven't seen it yet. Just didn't know if there was anything giving away the year, or a rough estimate at least

Just picked it up, overall looks good. Drip pan is solid, just a little along the edge, the rails are toast and that's what the issue was. Even has a relatively soft and pliable original cover. Now I'll have to decide if I keep it or flip it.... Always The challenge One of the grills will have to go though, that much is certain

Eric, how's that frame rail on the left side of the cook box looking? Asking because I picked up two similar 1990s-era Genesis models this summer, and both need that frame rail replaced because they are just swiss cheese. At least I have Bruce's instructions to guide me when I replace them!
