When I said I couldn't justify it, I meant that there were a bunch of other gadgets and upgrades I was considering too. The bigger water pan was low on my priority list behind a couple of rib racks, a thermometer, etc... If I ever spring for a BBQ Guru, I'll definately be getting a bigger pan.

Am I the only one around here's that started drinking WAY TOO EARLY in the evening when I know that I'll be cooking overnight? Around my place, anytime we decide to smoke pork butts, we turn it into a "boy's night". That Brinkmann charcoal pan has saved my butt a few times....end up passing out around 2am just to wake up in time for the sucka to be done.....and there's always a little water remaining!
