The family just told me I can buy a few knives for Father's day. I want Forschner's - who online has the best prices and service? Looking for a graton slicer, boning knife ansd a steel.

I have 2 Forschners and love them. I have a 14" beef slicer granton edge that makes short work of brisket. I also have the 12" cimeter granton edge which is a great carver. Here's a recent thread that has many links to buy your knives. Knife thread.

I got the first two on the left at a resuraunt supply store. I take it you don't have one of those around you? If you do, why pay for shipping?

Most of the online stores offer free shipping and there's no sales tax.

Buy Global if you can afford them. As a pro chef i've used every knife under the sun, Global are the best.
