Kitchen Twine

Anyone have a store that is reliable with kitchen twine or have a good alternate to tying roasts?

I can't find it anywhere and usually just beg the butchers for a couple arms of length - but would like to quite being a mooch and get my own supply

weird question - i know...........

thanks to both - kevin, that site looks pretty good for a lot of stuff - still getting my hands around all the resources in this world

I'll have to order up a stockpile from there - bed & bath is right next to costco - so I'll have to check there before buying my pork to see if they have enough to get me through the weekend

My local Tru-Value has it with all their other rope/twine.

It's a GREAT (and fairly large) family owned/operated hardware store though.

Thats hillarious, I do the same thing. I always offer to buy a cone of it from them but they always just give me a little. Getting sick of begging myself.

I got some at Williams-Sonoma in the mall. Probably paid 5 times more for it than I could have somewhere else, but it was the only place I could find it.

Did you look carefully in your local grocery store? Shop-Rite, the local chain here, carries it so I never gave it much thought as being a hard to locate item.

yeah - i checked the locals (here it is frys, bashas, safeway & albertsons)

they never have any so I usually make my way up to the meat counter to see if they know where I can find some to buy and so starts the process of begging

bed, bath and beyond had one spool on the bottom row in tucked in the corner - so I snagged it - I couldn't find it and the guy working stock said he never has seen it - went up to run it in the register to verify there was some in the store then we found it

all good now though - tied up and Q'ing
