A twin pack 13.9 lb of Kingsford charcoal blue bag is on sale for 4.99 at Lowes. I just purchased 5 twin packs or 139 lbs of charcoal for 24.95. Pretty good deal. They should last me awhile. I know they are on are on sale in Orlando, FL I guess it may be nationwide. Check it out.
 
you might want to try your local Home Depot...from another forum i am on

it is for the 11.1 pound bag....just show them the picture posted and most will honor it...my local HD doesnt carry it

I will definitely looked in to it. Why are they so cheap? Are they on sale like this during the summer?

I'm assuming that the winter is the slow season for Kingsford and they still have to crank out the stuff. I saw a Kingsford documentary once on Discovery Channel, they get stuff from everyone to make the charcoal, leftovers from papermills, pulp etc., I guess they must keep getting the stuff in during the winter and gotta get rid of inventory and sell it cheap.
 
Anyone from Illinois know if this is going on here also? I tried calling my local Lowe's and the gal I talked to wasn't very helpful. Still kicking myself for not stocking up before winter.

I just picked up a few bags of 11.3lb Kingsford Competition at Home Depot in Peoria . . . I thought I got a good deal @ $4.95/bag until I saw the picture up above.
