Kingsford lump

I tried this for the 1st time today. While I have a strong dislike of K-ford briqs, I thought I'd give this stuff a try.
Not bad, not bad at all.
I opened the bag and found very little dust and few small chips. The chunks were of pretty uniform size. I lit up a chimney, and it caught fire very quickly, with no "off" odors.
I dumped the coals into the firepan and added some cherry and maple chunks.
Onto the top grate go 4 racks of spares (trimmed to St. Louis style).
6 hrs. later I have perfect ribs and about half the fuel load left.
So yeah, this lump seems to be pretty good. It won't be my 1st choice, because I can buy other lump cheaper, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy this if I didn't have other options.

Thanks for the review James. I saw this in the local Alberstsons for $7 and change, right after I loaded up on the B&B oak lump.

Nice to know I have an option one block away!
