Kingsford Charcoal

Hi all, I am pretty new to this forum. lots of great information. One could probally get all the info he needs on any subject with out ever asking a question. As I am fairly new to smokin, about a year, although I have been grilling most of my life. I have just read the postings on the controversy about the odor from the Kingsford blue. Lots of good pros and cons. The question I have is about the Kingsford conpitition charcoal. I used some for the first smoke on my new WSM I got for christmas and had great results smoking some pheasants. What is the difference between the blue and the compition. What is the preferred.

Welcome Cecil. I am new to this forum myself. Although I do not own an WSM, I am learning how to use a charcoal grill as I have owned a gasser for about 7 years. There was a recent discussion of this same thing that you may find useful.
